Description:
A patrol type camp at Dilston Scout Campsite.
The Scouts will be camping in Patrol Tents (big canvas tents) for the weekend. It will be based on the Back to Basics format where each tent is competing against the others for points over the weekend. This is in preparation for an inter troop Back to Basics camp later in the Summer.
The Back to Basics camps have always been one of the highlights of the camping year and District programme, as there hasn't been one for about 5 years we felt it would be good to have a bit of a practice.
Over the course of the weekend the Scouts will be expected to look after their kit, tents, cooking areas, fires and meals on the Saturday and Sunday, this will be with support and guidance from Young Leaders and Leaders, however we will not be doing it for them!
We will also have some activities taking place which are yet to be decided on.
