Sun 3rd Nov (8:00am - 9:00am) Fireworks Litter Pick Where: The Sele, Hexham The Event organisers on behalf of Hexham Town Council have approached us again to do the clean up of the Sele following the Firework display this year.
This is a good service for us to provide to the community and one we get a nice payment for from the Town Council which will be put towards a replacement minibus.
We are asking for adults to come along with their Beaver, Cub, or Scout. Explorers can attend without an adult. You will need to bring a couple of strong bin bags and a pair of good gloves. I'm hoping the Town Counvil will provide us some bin bags and litter pickers this year.
Thank you for supporting us

Sun 10th Nov (10:00am - 11:45am) Remembrance Parade 2024 Where: Lookwide Centre 2023 Remembrance Parade
The Explorer, Scout, Cub, and Beaver Sections will meet at the Lookwide Centre at 10am on Sunday 10th November so we can be ready to join the parade at the Moot Hall at 10:30.
All members should be in full uniform with black or grey trousers/skirt and shoes. As the weather can be cold the young people should wear additional layers under the uniform. If it is particularly cold or wet then coats and gloves should be worn with the group necker outside the coat.
Following the Service of Remembrance and the laying of wreaths at the war memorial, the young people will be dismissed/ can be collected from the market place (approximately 11:20).
This is probably the most important event for us in the Scouting year as we show our thanks to those who gave their lives for us. It is also an essential requirement for the World Challenge Awards for Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts as well as the District Bronze, Silver, and Gold Cairn Awards.
