We often get asked the question "What does my child need to take to camp ?"
The answer in reality, differs from camp to camp, depending on what type of camp is actually planned. For example the gear a Scout will need when he is backpacking on an expedition, such as the Expedition Challenge, will differ from the gear he needs on a camp at a single venue for the weekend. The equipment will also differ depending on the time of year the activity or where the camp is going to take place & if the venue is indoor or camping under "Canvas". In Scouting we use the term Under canvas to describe any camp in a tent. When we plan a camp & send out information to parents we do normally include a kit list. However we felt is was a good idea to provide two generic kit lists on the website for parents to use as a guideline. If there are any questions relating to kit please dont hesitate to contact us.
