It offers a high standard of bunkhouse self catering accommodation for groups, and is considered to be one of the best in the Lakes. There are 2 bunk rooms and a separate leaders room.
The attendance is being split evenly between Scouts and Explorers, with the invite initially only being to the older Scouts due to the intended programme.
The Scouts will be doing their Expedition and cooking their Saturday dinner as part of the Expedition Challenge, the other parts will be done on troop nights and include planning their route, planning their meal, and afterwards making a report to the rest of the Troop. Back 2 Basics 2025 - Hawaiian
Where: Dilston Scout Camp
Introduction
The Hawaiian Lu'au is open to all Scouts from across the District aged 10 to 14½. Although a camping competition, this camp should be seen as an educational tool for both Scouts and Leaders to learn new skills and grow their Scouting knowledge and skills. The camp is not all hard work; there will be a number of fun activities and entertainment included within the busy programme of the events. Each attendee will receive a camp badge, and certificate.

The Competition
Within the Camp, the patrols of between 4 – 7 Scouts, will camp in a designated site area, marked out for them in advance. The patrols will need to barrier off their area themselves (using, for example, rope and long sticks). They will be led by a Patrol Leader and assisted by an Assistant Patrol Leader.
The Teams will work together, preparing their own meals, developing their site and building gadgets to support their camping needs. There will be a mark system to work to over the w...
